36 BOOM Learning cards

Each BOOM distance learning card presents a larger grid on the right constructed itself from smaller images arranged in a particular way. The smaller individual images vary from each other – sometimes in only very subtle ways. There could be 2 separate images or a small handful of images that collectively form the larger grid, resulting in a seemingly randomised pattern.

To the left is a much smaller grid that reflects a small portion of the larger grid. You have to locate where on the larger grid the smaller pattern is buried. The smaller pattern can be found ONLY ONCE in the larger grid.

The pattern grids become progressively more challenging with 36 cards in all. The grids themselves become larger, so there are more pieces to search through, but the images used can also be much more similar to each other, making it harder and harder to spot. On some decks, the smaller pattern you’re looking for isn’t square but an irregular form, again adding to the complexity as you progress through the deck.
